Pieter Bart KORTHUIS

Pieter Bart Korthuis (1971) is a Dutch screenwriter and director. He’s the creator of the Dutch Netflix show Dirty Lines that will premiere this spring. He also co-wrote the political miniseries “The year of Fortuyn” that will air March 24 in the Netherlands. Korthuis was the creator of the Dutch hitseries “Penoza”, that was remade in seven countries, such as the United States (“Red Widow”), Sweden (“Gåsmamman”) and India (“Aarya”, nominated for the international Emmy Awards 2021). His screenplay for the television movie “The Strongest Man in Holland” won the Prix D’ Europe for best television drama and was also nominated for the International Emmy Award. Korthuis is chairman of the Dutch Screenwriters Guild and lives in Amsterdam.
