CO-PRO PITCHING SESSIONS – BEST PROJECT
The 15 series projects in development presented at Series Mania Forum’s Co-Pro Pitching Sessions are evaluated by a jury of industry professionals. The winning project receives a prize of € 50,000.
In 2023, the Ukraine/Poland war thriller drama Unspoken was chosen by the jury presided over by Caroline Hollick (Head of Drama, Channel 4, United Kingdom).
Unspoken is produced by Dmytro Sukhanov, Toy Cinema (Ukraine), Natalia Libet, 2Brave Productions (Ukraine) and Anna Rożalska, Match&Spark (Poland). It is written by Zhanna Ozirna and Filip Syczyński.

Series mania’s BEST MARKETING INITIATIVE award
Series exist, but they must be seen! Regardless of a series quality, one of the biggest challenges any series faces is standing out in an overcrowded market.
In 2023, Series Mania launched the SERIES MANIA’S CREATIVE CAMPAIGN AWARD: a new prize designed to reward a particularly creative way of promoting a series to the general public.
Presented to Phil Ball, Head of Creative, and Sarah Bold, Head of Brand and Marketing, Scripted, for “Doctor Who: Flux” (BBC Studios) in 2023, the prize becomes the SERIES MANIA’S BEST MARKETING INITIATIVE AWARD in 2024.
It inlcudes all initiatives designed to promote series to professionals from the industry.

Created in 2021, the Woman in series Award is given to a remarkable woman from the audiovisual industry to honor her vision and leadership.
After Christina Sulebakk in 2021 (GM Nordics, Warner Bros. Discovery, Danemark) and Mo Abudu in 2022 (CEO EbonyLife Group, Nigeria), the recipient of the 2023 award is Nicola Shindler, Executive Producer and Chief Executive of
Quay Street Productions.

Attending Series Mania Forum to receive her award, Nicola Shindler gave a talk on her career: an opportunity to discuss the relationships she builds with writers, as well as her vision for producing engaging drama for a global audience.
Russel T. Davies’ new series Nolly, produced by Nicola Shindler and starring Helena Bonham Carter, was presented out of competition at the 2023 Series Mania festival.
