Janine JACKOWSKI

Janine Jackowski studied production at the HFF Munich from 1998 to 2002. During her studies, she co-founded
Komplizen Film with Maren Ade in 1999. With Komplizen Film Janine has produced award-winning and
internationally successful movies. Among them is Maren Ade’s third feature film “Toni Erdmann,” which premiered
in the Cannes Competition 2016 and won the European and German Film Awards and was nominated for a
Golden Globe, César, BAFTA and Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. She also produced Valeska
Grisebach’s “Western”, which premiered in the section Un Certain Regard in Cannes in 2017 and the coproduction “A Fantastic Woman” by Sebastián Lelio, that won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2018.
Janine Jackowski is a member of the ACE Network, the German, British and European Film Academies, as well
as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
