The Residency
Series Mania has been running programs for screenwriting and career development for several years. The goal is to bring together talent from all areas of series creation—writing, production, and beyond—to build connections, foster collaboration, and grow a global network.
To host its in-person programs, Series Mania has launched the Creative Bazaar. This vibrant space offers unique residencies, workshops, and training opportunities for screenwriters and producers from around the world. The event will take place from March 21 to 24, 2025, at the Bazaar St So in Lille.
An opportunity for composers
Thanks to the support of Sacem, Series Mania will invite three composers to meet with its residents in one-on-one sessions. During these meetings, the composers will have the opportunity to present their work, share their experience, and raise awareness about the role of music in the creative and artistic direction of a series.
On the first day, a special session will be organized with the participants of the “Going European” program, a residency held in partnership with the CNC and supported by MEDIA Creative Europe. This program is aimed at five international screenwriting duos looking to develop their skills and expertise in co-writing international series.
On the second day, the composers will meet the participants of the Eureka Series program, a 10-week intensive training course for emerging screenwriters from across Europe, initiated by the Series Mania Institute.
They will also have the opportunity to experience part of the Series Mania Festival program. On the third day, the composers will meet other Creative Bazaar residents during the Series Mania Forum and take part in this must-attend event for professionals in the series creation industry.
Additionally, the selected composers will be featured in the “Talents to Watch” section on the Series Mania+ digital platform (accessible to all accredited attendees), providing them with excellent visibility and the chance to schedule meetings with other residents and industry professionals attending the Series Mania Forum.
The three nights from March 23 to 25 (inclusive) will be covered for the selected composers.
