The Co-Pro Pitching Sessions are Series Mania Forum’s founding premise and the most anticipated part of the Forum. TV series such as Off Season (France, Switzerland), Blackport (Iceland), The Last Socialist Artefact (Slovenia, Finland), We Got This (Sweden), Ever After (Italy), No Man’s Land (France), Freud (Germany) or The Head (Spain) were introduced for the very first time during the Co-Pro Pitching Sessions.
Each year, up to 15 series projects seeking international financing are selected and their producers are invited to come to Lille to pitch their series to an audience of key industry decision-makers (producers, broadcasters, financiers, etc.). For the 2024 edition, we have received more than 413 eligible submissions from 57 countries.
A prize of 50,000 euros is given to the best project chosen by a professional jury.
The pitching sessions are followed by individual meetings with broadcasters, distributors, producers, public and private funds.
how can apply ?
Any producer or distributor with a drama series seeking international financing and co-production partners. The same company can submit up to 2 projects.
WITH WHICH PROJECTS
Projects must be for a fiction series.
The format of the series must be a minimum of three episodes. The length of each episode must be a minimum of 26 minutes.
Projects selected for another market or festival will not be eligible.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST ?
Submission of projects is free.
what do i need to apply
You must submit using our online registration form (link below). Within the form, you will have to upload the following documents:
- A pitch document (10 pages maximum) following the template provided by Series Mania. This document should include the following elements: logline, synopsis, presentation of the characters and narrative arcs, short episodic synopsis (if available), presentation of the world and tone of the series, author’s & producer’s note and a global financing plan (last page of the template provided by Series Mania).
Please use the following format: A4, Calibri, 12 pt, 1.15 line spacing, margins of min. 2.0 cm on the sides. - Filmographies and biographies of the creative team.
And if available:
- A few photos/moodboard/visuals/illustrations of the project;
- Letter of interest or development contract with a broadcaster (if applicable)
Submissions will only be accepted in English so all submitted material can be read by our international selection committee. Incomplete registrations will not be considered.
While not compulsory, we will take into consideration:
- The support of a TV channel in the country of origin, or the support of an international distributor, with proof provided in the form of an official document such as a letter of interest or development contract.
- The experience of the company in the production of TV series or the financing of international co-productions.
