Born in Bra, Italy, in ‘72. As a screenwriter, he has written feature films such as The Double Hour (Venice Official Competition, 2009), Tatanka, Workers, The Invisible Boy, Monolith and The invisible boy II, Il Divin Codino (Netflix, 2021) and the soon-to-be-released L’ultima cena. He’s also written, produced and directed his first feature film Una Relazione, released in Italian cinemas in September 2021 after being shown at Venice Film Festival. Years before he also directed the feature documentary Slow Food Story, shown at Berlinale and Telluride in 2013. As writer and showrunner, together with Alessandro Fabbri and Ludovica Rampoldi he has created the original Sky’s political tv drama 1992 (2015), 1993 (2017) and 1994 (2019), released in 100 countries, but also the next Netflix new crime show Nemesis, to be shot in 2022. He also wrote the Italian adaptation of In Treatment (3 seasons, for Wildside, directed by Saverio Costanzo), plus many other tv shows as writer (il 13mo apostolo, il Sistema, la Nuova Squadra). He’s currently developing as creator and writer new serial (i Leoni di Sicilia, The Art of Joy) and film projects. As a novelist he published four books (L’america delle Kessler, Arcana, 2002, Il ragazzo invisibile, Salani, 2014, Il ragazzo invisibile – Seconda Generazione, 2018, Una relazione, HarperCollins, 2021). In 2015 he has founded its own production company, NIGHTSWIM, together with Ines Vasiljevic. He’s currently the president of 100autori, the most important Italian guild of writers and directors. He has a past as a singer and musician with the band Mambassa, that has released 6 albums.
