New technologies are constantly emerging, many of which disappear or become anecdotal. Others stay and shake up the existing ecosystem. There’s no doubt that algorithms, social networks and generative AI fall into the latter category. More than ever, audiences need to adapt to these new uses, and to be aware of both their assets and their biases. In the face of the malicious compound action of AI and social networks, viewers must now adapt and sharpen their critical faculties with regards to false, erroneous or amplified information. What role should the audiovisual ecosystem play to face this education emergency?
