LEARNING BY DOING : CREATING A MINI SERIES FROM A TO Z
Maslow is a five episode mini-series created by young talents in the Tremplin training program.
They learned the basics of serial writing and the technical professions of the audiovisual industry through the experience of working together to produce and direct a mini series. From January 20th to 28th, they took part in the third phase of the training, focused on practical filming. A unique opportunity for them to write, direct and edit their own mini series!
The post-production will take place with nine days of editing at the Series Mania Institute premises in Lille, and eight days of sound mixing and color grading at the fabrique france·tv in Lille.
Maslow will finally be screened to the public on March 28, 2025, during the Series Mania Festival.
GUIDED BY PROFESSIONALS FROM THE TV SERIES INDUSTRY
All professionals involved in the Maslow production provided supervision to ensure participants carried out their tasks effectively.
From production to post-production, directing, cinematography, sound, costume design, set decoration, lighting, professionals assisted the trainees of the Tremplin 2024-2025 program through all stages of creating an audiovisual work.
Anticipating needs, and determining the necessary accessories for creating a the universe of Maslow—these pivotal moments led them to guide trainees towards the path of the set and professionalization. They supported trainees throughout the seven days of shooting, offering multiple insights on their visions, their mini series project, and assisting them in making the most best choices to achieve success. A unique and hybrid formulation allowing “learning by doing”.
MASLOW IN A FEW WORDS
Mona, 23 years old, recently homeless, believes she sees in Maslow the key to her survival. Indeed, this large collaborative company offers comfort and security to all its employees. But Mona will have to fight to earn her place, at the risk of sacrificing her humanity. Maslow, a contemporary dystopia, questions the limits of progress and the cost of security. It is also an invitation to rethink our priorities as a modern, Western society. Is it truly ideal to fulfill every need, or does it deprive humanity of its quest for meaning and freedom?
