The Writers Campus is an intensive week-long workshop for professional screenwriters with a live-action project in development. This programme focuses on :

Objectives:

  • Prepare participants to pitch their project to the audiovisual industry at the Series Mania Forum.
  • Acquire skills in project development, pitch preparation and networking.
  • Participate in intensive mentoring sessions, masterclasses and networking events.

Methods :

  • 4 days of intensive mentoring (group and individual sessions) with renowned experts.
  • Participation in masterclasses and networking events with renowned professionals (Charlotte Brandström, Ron Leshem, Bryan Elsley, etc.).
  • Preparation for the final pitch session at the Series Mania Forum.

Registration process

The Writers Campus is aimed at professional scriptwriters with a live-action fiction project. The project must not be attached to a production company or television channel/broadcasting platform.

Eligibility criteria :

  • Have a fiction project in development. Documentary or animation projects will not be considered.

  • Episodes must have a duration between 20 and 60 minutes.

  • No production company or broadcaster should be attached to the project.

  • Provide proof of professional experience: having had a project broadcast on television, on a platform, online, in cinemas, or at a festival (whether a TV or digital series, a short film, or a feature film), or having a distribution agreement for a first work about to be released.

  • Work in English, with application materials in English.

  • Screenwriters from all over the world may apply.

Submission of applications via the form at the end of the page.

Documents required for application (in English):

  • A pitch deck (max. 10 pages) including:

– Logline (max. 2 sentences).

-Detailed pitch (format, setting, narrative arcs, tone).

-Synopsis of the pilot episode and of subsequent episodes (if available).

-Profiles of the main characters.

-Writer’s statement / note of intent.

  • A short CV.
  • A motivation letter explaining how the program will help you develop your project.
  • (Optional) Proof of agreement with a broadcaster if the project is about to be released.
