Program

Eureka Series is an immersive training program for European screenwriters to actively learn and practice the step-by-step development of original series concepts in a collaborative environment. Participants work collaboratively in writers’ rooms, guided by industry professionals, to craft strong, compelling series ideas from the ground up.

The program focuses on the creative and strategic aspects of series development within a collaborative framework. Throughout the training, participants improve their ability to collaborate, navigate creative discussions, and construct engaging narratives as a team. Using a “learning by doing” approach, they work in small groups of 3 or 4 co-writers, developing and refining series concepts step-by-step under the guidance of professional screenwriters.

Key stages include:

  • Fundamentals of serial dramaturgy
  • Ideation and selection of original series ideas with strong potential
  • Finding and exploring core themes
  • Building strong characters & conflicts
  • Structuring compelling season arcs
  • Shaping an efficient pilot

The program concludes with meetings and feedback sessions from series development executives, providing valuable guidance to support participants’ careers.

The course begins with exclusive access to the Series Mania Forum, providing a unique opportunity to connect with producers, commissioners, and fellow creators, and to engage with panels on current trends and challenges in the European series industry.

The next call for applications will open in September 2025. Precise dates for the next edition of Eureka Series and detailed program will be revealed at the same time.
