The AI Storytelling Bootcamp is back in November 2025! Join the next cohort of participants to gain a deep understanding of AI and unleash your creativity.

Whether you’re AI-skeptical, an enthusiast, or a beginner, this AI Bootcamp is tailored for you! Over three days, you’ll explore the impact of generative AI on the audiovisual industry, master the art of crafting prompts and using chatbots to enrich your creative toolbox.

Designed for professionals looking to harness AI in story development, this 3-day bootcamp will give you an in-depth understanding of its role in the creative industry, while addressing its ethical, legal and environmental challenges. This program is held entirely online, via Zoom.

  • Foundations of AI for Creatives

Begin your journey with an engaging introduction to artificial intelligence. Explore its concrete applications and discover how generative AI can serve as a creative partner.

  • Main Workshop: I’M YOUR STAFF WRITER

This intensive, hands-on module is the core of the bootcamp. Led by Prof. Romey, a renowned expert in serial storytelling, and Markus Walsch,  a leading innovator in AI-driven creativity, this session focuses on how AI can support, expand, and challenge your creative process in fiction development and text-based creative work. Learn how to use generative AI not just for content creation but also as a creative sparring partner or virtual editorial colleague. Explore how virtual target audiences can be integrated into the development process and test the latest AI tools – from ChatGPT to custom-built bots and AI agent workflows. Tackle key questions like: What can AI do today – and where does it hit its limits? How do we navigate these challenges?

  • Industry Insights

Throughout the bootcamp, you’ll take part in sessions with industry professionals who will introduce additional AI tools and share successes and challenges from the world of screenwriting, production, and creative development.

  • Ethical & Legal Dimensions

Understand the legal and ethical considerations surrounding AI in creative industries.

  • Debrief & Takeaways

Conclude with a practical debrief to reflect on your learning. Leave with concrete skills, useful resources, and a clearer vision of how AI can support your creative work going forward.

No specific requirements in terms of knowledge or use of AI. No specific project is required.
Participants must have a sufficient level of professional English.
