This course is given entirely in French.

The Production Accounting training program addresses the growing needs of the serialized industry and international projects shot in France, particularly in the Hauts-de-France region. It prepares participants to manage all financial, social and fiscal administration aspects of an audiovisual production. A key role from the pre-production phase to post-production.

Supported by Banijay France, a leading company in the production industry, this training leads to the obtaining of the certification CQP Production Accounting Cinema and Audiovisual, created and issued by the CPNEF de l’Audiovisuel.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Prepare the accounting and social elements in the pre-production phase of the audiovisual project, depending on the context and the area of production concerned,
  • Carry out the accounting, social and tax management of the audiovisual project during the shooting and post-production phases,
  • Draw up the social, tax and accounting statements at the close of the audiovisual production project.

Series Mania Institute is authorised by the CPNEF de l’audiovisuel to provide training and organise assessments leading to Production Accounting certification. This certification is created and issued by the CPNEF de l’audiovisuel.

Objectives

  • Obtain the CQP Production Administrator for Cinema and Audiovisual certification, created and issued by the CPNEF de l’Audiovisuel.
  • Master the software: Peplum, Studio, and Louma (Xotis suite).
  • Be operational quickly through case studies and hands-on practice.

Methods

  • Theoretical courses followed by direct application, supervised by a professional.
  • Masterclasses and professional meetings.
  • Verification of knowledge acquisition through QCMs and practical exercises.
  • Preparation for certification with a final synthesis exercise of the training.

ELIGIBILITY

Profiles and prerequisites: Participants must :

  • Have prior professional experience in the field of audiovisual production, cinema, or series, either on set or within a production company
  • Have an interest in numbers and administrative tasks
  • Be comfortable using standard IT tools and office software (especially Excel).

Additional assets: Basic knowledge of general accounting and a good overall understanding of the audiovisual industry and its professions.

Example of profiles: Assistant or production manager, assistant stage manager, general manager, assistant director, accountant in a production company, or recent graduates from an audiovisual training course. AFDAS may cover 100% of the cost of the training course at the request of the participant, subject to compliance with eligibility criteria.

It is also possible to apply for funding from France Travail under the AIF (Aide Individuelle à la Formation) program. Requests are currently reviewed on a case-by-case basis, so we encourage you to check with your France Travail advisor for more details.

The RNCP certification process for the CQP Production Administrator is currently under review by France Compétences. Once approved, the training program will be eligible for 100% funding by France Travail, with the option to use CPF credits if needed.

Registration process

Registration for the next edition of the training will open in November 2026. The registration process takes place in two steps:

Submission of an online application form, accompanied by the following documents:

  • Cover letter outlining motivations and career plans

Online interview with the pedagogical team after your application is submitted

Certification

Conditions of access to the certification :

  • A first experience in the audiovisual sector or a first experience in accounting in other accounting experience in other sectors is required.
  • Completion of the entire course.

Assessment methods: Written practical cases and oral presentations (assessment by block).

Rules for obtaining certification: All blocks must be validated. The candidate must validate at least 75% of each block of skills.

Certification pass rate: 68% pass rate (09/24/2024)
