Nuran Evren Şit

Nuran Evren Şit, a screenwriter and producer born in Ankara, Turkey, and currently based in Gouda, The Netherlands, graduated from the Cinema and TV Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul (2006). She has written and directed several award-winning short films screened internationally, worked as a casting director and assistant director on acclaimed films and commercials, and authored over 10 Turkish TV series (more than 300 episodes) as well as three box-office hit feature films. She is the creator and writer of Netflix originals Atiye / The Gift, Zeytin Ağacı / Another Self, and the film Last Call for Istanbul. Winner of the Pantene Golden Butterfly Awards (2017) and the Artemis Awards (2023), she also teaches screenwriting, leads workshops internationally, and speaks Turkish, English, Portuguese, some Spanish, and is currently learning Dutch.
