The Hum

When a strange, unexplained sound begins to haunt the nights of thousands of people around the world, Canadian musicology researcher Basia Carter discovers she’s one of the 4% of the world’s population who can hear it. While investigating a series of disappearances strangely linked to this phenomenon, she finds herself drawn into a global conspiracy that is beyond her. A few days after the outbreak of this strange hum, Basia receives an invitation. An acoustic physics research institute based in Iceland is organizing an international conference on unexplained sound phenomena. The symposium, officially academic, has actually been set up by Dr. Elias Moreau, a French scientist who has been studying the “Hum” for years.
