Parry Riposte follows the life and relationships of Noël, a trans non-binary kinesiology major and recreational fencer, as they attempt to make space for themself within the academic and athletic institutions that are not built to support them. Noël is allowed to return to the university varsity fencing team with the condition that they compete in an upcoming fencing tournament. Unfortunately, Noël’s return is met with resistance from previous teammates due to their involvement in a doping scandal that led to the team’s disqualification two years prior. In order to make good with the team, Noël agrees to compete but their rusty fencing skills leave little to be desired, prompting them to enlist the help of Christian, a non-committal senior team member, to coach them.
