Emperor’s Shit

"Emperor's Shit" or " Tenno no haisetubutsu" in Japanese, is named after both the hotel and the town where it's located. This small tourist town in Gunma Prefecture is famous for its hot springs but isn't well-known among Thai tourists yet. According to legend, hundreds of years ago when this was just a small village in the mountains, an emperor traveling between cities encountered a problem - severe diarrhea that wouldn't stop. He needed to rest to recover before continuing his journey, but this rest extended to nearly a month, requiring hundreds of courtiers and doctors to come attend to him. Gradually, a community formed around this event, eventually becoming a town nicknamed after the emperor's predicament.
