Sam MEIKLE

Sam Meikle is a highly experienced writer and creator with hundreds of produced credits. He holds a Masters in screenwriting from the AFTRS (2000), he’s a graduate of the NIDA Playwrights’ Studio (2000), and has been nominated for 3 AACTA Awards and 12 Australian Writers’ Guild Awards, winning 4. Most recently, Sam was a writer, EP and co-showrunner of Wakefield (ABC, BBC Studios, Showtime), co-creator, head writer, and EP of MaveriX (ABC, Netflix), and head writer and Co-EP of Last King of the Cross Season 2 (Paramount+). In 2023 he was selected for The Creators, the inaugural Screen Australia / AWG showrunning program.
