Duma DINA

Dina Duma (b. 1991, Skopje) is an award-winning Macedonian film director. Her debut feature film, SISTERHOOD, premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2021, where it won the Special Jury Prize in the East of the West Competition. The film went on to represent North Macedonia at the 2022 Oscars in the Best Foreign Language Film category. Dina is currently finalizing her second feature film, SKATEBOARDING IS NOT FOR GIRLS, developed at the Residence of the Festival de Cannes in Paris. She has been directing as well for television (e.g. IN TREATMENT). THE GIRL WITH THE SUN IN HER EYES is her first series as (co-)creator.
