Series exist, but they must be seen!
Regardless of a series quality, one of the biggest challenges any series faces is standing out in an overcrowded market.
Launched in 2023, SERIES MANIA’S BEST MARKETING INITIATIVE AWARD is a prize awarded by Series Mania to celebrate creativity in series’ marketing, not only for the promotion to the viewing audience (BtoC), but also initiatives undertaken by producers and distributors to raise awareness toward commissioners and buyers (BtoB).
This new competition responds to the need for broadcasters and platforms, faced with the dizzying number of series available, to create innovative and unique marketing tools so that series are noticed and have every chance of meeting their audience.

WINNER 2025
The first Award was given to Phil Ball, Head of Creative, and Sarah Bold, Head of Brand and Marketing, Scripted, for “Doctor Who: Flux” (BBC Studios) in2023.
In 2024, the prize was given to Sarah Izbornicki & Joo-Hyung Lee, both Senior Marketing Managers for “Sex Education: Season 4” (Netflix).
This year, Marina Maslać, Brand and Content Marketing Director EMEA, Streaming, won the Best Marketing Initiative Award, for “House of the Dragon: Season 2” (HBO and Max).
