Rene VAN ROOYEN

Rene van Rooyen is a director and screenwriter best known for « Toorbos », South Africa’s official entry to the 93rd Academy Awards and Golden Globes. Rene’s production company « Red Letter Day Pictures » have produced some of South Africa’s biggest local box office earners, including « Vaselinetjie » (#2 Box office 2017) and « Hollywood in my Huis (#5 at the box office 2015), whilst Toorbos reached #2 at the box office 2020. Over the past decade, Rene directed several TV series.
