Jan Mojto

As a producer and co-producer Jan Mojto is responsible for hundreds of hours of programs, and works with actors such as Ben Kingsley, Richard Harris, Gary Oldman, John Malkovich, Isabella Rossellini, Gérard Depardieu and Stellan Skarsgard, as well as with directors such as Ermanno Olmi, Robert Dornhelm, Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, Oliver Hirschbiegel, Stefan Ruzowitzky, Agnieszka Holland, Philipp Stoelzl and the showrunner Tom Fontana and Alex Pina. One of his most important fictional projects was the 21-part TV-series based on the stories from the Bible, which achieved multiple Emmy-awards and –nominations.

Recently Mojto coproduced or contributed to some of the most rewarded German and international feature film productions such as, most recently, Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s “Never Look Away“, the two Academy Award winning “The Lives of Others“ (Henckel von Donnersmarck) and “The Counterfeiters“ (Stefan Ruzowitzky) as well as the Academy Award nominated “Downfall“ by Oliver Hirschbiegel.

In the television section Mojto’s credits include “Babylon Berlin” by Tom Tykwer, Stefan Sollima’s “Gomorrah”, the trilogy “NSU – German History X”, the UFA-productions “The Same Sky” and “Generation War”, Tom Fontana’s three season event-saga “Borgia” as well as the mini-series “War and Peace” and “Napoleon”.

With Unitel Mojto produced audiovisual recordings of all major Salzburg Festival-productions, “Tutto Verdi”, the worldwide unique recording of all Verdi operas, “Beethoven9” with the Vienna Philharmonic and Christian Thielemann, Richard Wagner’s “Ring des Nibelungen” from Valencia with Zubin Metha and La Fura dels Baus and “Mozart22”, the awarded production of all Mozart operas among many others.
