Janey Mack is a six-part dark comedy that follows Jane McArdle, a sharp-tongued, undiagnosed neurodivergent woman whose life is upended when she gains the ability to see and communicate with the dead. After witnessing a fatal bus accident, Jane reluctantly helps the ghost of the victim, Brendan, resolve his unfinished business, only to discover this is no one-time event. Ghosts of those who die near her continue to appear, pulling her into a series of bizarre, often hilarious, and deeply emotional missions. As Jane begrudgingly assists the dead in finding peace, she’s forced to confront her own lingering grief and guilt from a car accident that killed her father and left her with overwhelming survivor’s guilt. Her strained relationship with her comatose mother, Rose, looms large in her life, as does her complicated dynamic with her golden boy brother, Ben.
