When Eve wakes up in the hospital, the bandages around her wrists reveal she tried to take her life. Eve is a talented, successful and up & coming TV-chef and she had everything going well for herself, - career, fame, money….. Until she became a mother... Instead of experiencing the so called pink cloud: she is dealing with a newborn that can’t stop crying, she has horrible pains during breastfeeding and is plagued by awful thoughts about harming her baby…. Out of despair she attempts suicide and Eve is rushed to a Mother Baby Unit. A Mother Baby Unit is a psychiatric hospital where new mothers suffering from postnatal depression spend 4 to 6 months recovering from their mental health issues. A group of mothers and their babies live together, while being surrounded by a team of medical experts and caretakers trying to get them back up their feet, so they can go back to their ‘normal lives’.
