Short Forms Competition Jury

Younès Boucif is an actor, writer, and producer. Trained on stage and nourished by language, he has built a singular career spanning rap, auteur cinema, and popular series.
He first came to widespread public attention in 2022 in the role of Nezir in the Netflix series Drôle, created by Fanny Herrero — a series presented as the opening ceremony of the Séries Mania Festival 2022. Since then, he has moved from project to project, both in France and internationally: Les Magnétiques by Vincent Cardona (SACD Prize at Cannes, César for Best First Film), Le Ravissement by Iris Kaltenbäck (Critics’ Week 2023), and the American film Lonely Planet by Susannah Grant.
Shifting between genres, Younès moves between bold productions and more intimate roles, for Netflix (Cash), Arte (Amours solitaires, Rivages), and international independent cinema (Berger, Body of Glass, Chercheurs, Uniformes).
Alongside his acting career, and drawing on his experience as a rapper, he has developed a demanding body of work as a producer and manager in the music world. Co-founder, with his brother, of the label Houma Sweet Houma, he supports artists such as Tif and Rilès, blending the independent scene with high-level production. He produces, mentors, conceives, and directs music videos and projects, with an undisguised desire to one day cross over into fiction.
A lover of words, he also writes and performs for radio: in 2024, he created a five-episode podcast for France Culture around the theme of
