The film, inspired by his own experiences as a doctor, tells the story of a young intern confronted with the realities of the French healthcare system. Lilti followed this up with other films focusing on the medical field, such as Médecin de campagne (2016), which follows the adventures of a GP in a rural setting, and Première année (2018), which explores the intense competition and challenges faced by medical students.
