DÉSIRÉE NOSBUSCH has been a successful and internationally acclaimed actress and television host for over 30 years.
In 1981, she had her acting debut in Nach Mitternacht a feature film adaptation of the fiction novel by Irmgard Keun. In 1986 the Taviani Brothers discovered Désirée Nosbusch in Rome for the part of Mabel in their feature film Good Morning Babylon, which opened at the Cannes Film Festival in 1987.
She has since appeared in over 60 movies internationally.
Since 2018 she is starring as Cathrin Blake in the ARD-Degeto series The Irish Crime Story.
In 2019 Désireé Nosbusch was awarded the prestigious Grimme Award for BEST ACTRESS for her portrayal of Christelle LeBlanc in the highly acclaimed international miniseries BAD BANKS directed by Christian Schwochow.
She is currently in development of her feature film debut as a director, an adaptation of the play “Gift – Poison” by Lot Vekemans with the support of the Film Fund Luxembourg. Principal photography will start in January of 2022.
