Clyde Phillips is an Executive Producer and the original Showrunner on Showtime’s hit series Dexter for the first four ground-breaking seasons. During his tenure on Dexter, Clyde won the prestigious Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting and two AFI awards for outstanding series – and has been nominated for three Emmy Awards, as well as two Golden Globes, two PGA Awards, and three Writers’ Guild Awards, a BAFTA, and two Edgar Awards – among many others.
He then went on to be an Executive Producer and Showrunner for the last three seasons of Showtime’s Nurse Jackie.
Phillips also created Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, Suddenly Susan, and Get Real starring Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg. He’s executive produced and written several other series. Additionally, he’s produced a number of television movies.
Phillips received a straight-to-series commitment from AMC for his show Feed The Beast (starring David Schwimmer and James Sturgess) on which he was Executive Producer and Showrunner.
A national bestselling mystery novelist, Phillips’s fourth book, ‘Unthinkable’, came out to rave reviews and rose to Number One on Amazon’s ‘Police Procedural’ list.
To bring his story full-circle, Clyde has returned as Executive Producer and Showrunner of Showtime’s eagerly-anticipated revival of Dexter.
