Chris Chibnall is a BAFTA, Peabody and Royal Television Society award winning screenwriter, producer and playwright. He wrote a dozen of Torchwood’s episodes, directed by Russell T.Davis. He is the creator of the internationally acclaimed Broadchurch, with David Tennant and Olivia Colman, which ran for three seasons, winning four BAFTAs among more than twenty awards. It was remade in France as Malaterra and the USA as Gracepoint. From 2018-2022 Chris was the showrunner of the BBC’s Doctor Who, casting Jodie Whittaker as the first female Doctor. Chris’ company Imaginary Friends is currently running a Next Generation Showrunners Programme in the UK, in association with ITV. He was awarded the EuroFIPA d’Honneur in Biarritz in 2015.
