Cécile DE FRANCE

A two-time César winner and five-time nominee for the César for Best Actress, Cécile de France has worked under the direction of international filmmakers including Cédric Klapisch, Clint Eastwood, the Dardenne brothers, Catherine Corsini, and Xavier Giannoli. In the world of series, Cécile de France plays the head of marketing for the papal city in Paolo Sorrentino’s HBO series The Young Pope and The New Pope, alongside Jude Law and John Malkovich. She also played herself in the hit series Call My Agent!.
Invited to give a masterclass at the 2023 edition of the Festival, she appeared in the environmental thriller The Swarm (2023) as well as in Cédric Klapisch’s series Greek Salad (2023). Most recently, she took on the lead role in Yann Gozlan’s science-fiction film Dalloway, and will soon appear in the comedy La Poupée, due for release on April 22, 2026.
