Arabella WINTERMAYR

Arabella Wintermayr is a journalist, film and television critic whose writing operates at the intersection of cinema, culture, and political discourse. Her essays, festival reports and reviews have appeared in German newspapers, magazines, and digital outlets including «taz, die tageszeitung», «der Freitag», «ZEIT Online», «Sissy Mag», «Queer.de», «Jacobin» and «Surplus». Alongside her writing, she works as a TV editor for a news broadcaster. Since 2024, Arabella Wintermayr has served on the nomination committee for the «Grimme-Preis»—one of Germany’s most influential television awards— and since 2025 has curated the longlist for the German Series Award at the renowned film and series festival «TeleVisionale».
