Adrian Hennigan has been the chief TV critic at liberal Israeli newspaper Haaretz since 2016. He writes a weekly column in which he gets to share his passion for all things television-shaped. Before moving to Tel Aviv, he was a film journalist in London for 15 years. He edited the news section at Neon magazine in the late 1990s, followed by two years editing Popcorn.co.uk – which was one of the first U.K. websites dedicated to movies. Tired of working at places that closed down, he then moved to the BBC (still open!). There, he helped produce its online movie content for seven years. Television is his first love, though, thanks to the likes of Alan Bleasdale, Alan Bennett and many other writers who are not named Alan.
