We Are Lady Parts is an anarchic and irreverent comedy following a Muslim female punk band – called Lady Parts – who are on a mission to find a lead guitarist and maybe, just maybe, get a proper gig.
Supported by young charismatic actresses, We are Lady Parts is a tribute to chaos in life. Enlightened by the spirit of the riot grrrl movement, it approaches honestly the issues around identity and faith. The series shows assertively that it is very possible to discuss in a single story topics such as Islam and anarchy, romanticism and independence, long-standing friendships and new encounters.
