The series Game of Thrones, The Handmaid Tale, Lupin, The Bridgerton Chronicle and Normal People all have one thing in common: they are adapted from literary works that have either gone unnoticed (at least in France) or fallen into disuse. How have series and their successes contributed to the belated commercial success of the books they’re adapted from? François Busnel, host of La Grande Librairie on France 5, will analyze the recognition of literary works through their adaptation into series.
François Busnel will also be present at the Métropole cinema for the premiere of Seule la Terre est éternelle, his first film as a director, on Monday March 21 at 7:30pm.
