Policeman-turned-actor-and-film-director Olivier Marchal is the man who changed how cops are portrayed on TV. His career as an actor has led him to play different types of investigator, in shows ranging from Quai N°1 to Rivières pourpres and Police District, the cult series that is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. But it was as a screenwriter and director that he really turned the French notion of a cop show on its head, namely through Flics, Braquo, Section Zero.
Meet with Olivier Marchal hosted by Benoît Lagane journalist for France Inter and France 2 followed by a screening of Police District‘s first episode.
