Milky Way

In a remote mountain town, adults live a life with secrets and untold desires, while teenagers struggle to imagine a future in the big city. High-school senior Maria, who is dreaming of becoming a dancer, finds her dream colliding with an unwanted pregnancy. This leads her to stand up against the decisions imposed on her as right and moral by her surroundings, find her own path in life and finally claim her right to self-determination.

Our take

A poetic series which transports us to the dreamlike landscapes of the Greek mountains. Created by Vasilis Kekatos, winner of the Short Film Palme d’Or in Cannes in 2019, Milky Way is a touching approach on friendship and coming-of-age.
