Marc, Toni, Nuria and Sento grow up throughout the most significant years of the “Ruta del Bacalao”, a cultural and musical movement that took place in Valencia. Their journey begins around the age of eighteen, in 1981, and ends around the age of thirty, in 1993. The most important years of their lives and the ones that will define who they are.

Our take
A beautifully crafted series and a TV first, La Ruta takes us back in time, from 1993 to 1981, through the eyes of five childhood friends swept up in the La Ruta Destroy clubbing scene that made Valencia, its nightclubs and its bakalao dance music, the nightlife capital for a generation of Spanish youth.
