It stands watch, imposing and majestic, at the heart of Lille. This year, it proudly reigns on the festival’s poster. The Belfry, the city’s sentinel, embodies its vibrancy and serves as a reminder of its role as the international capital of series.
Every March, the festival offers a rich program: nearly 50 series premiered, masterclasses with renowned guests, discussions providing a societal perspective on series, and an exhibition, Forever 90s, dedicated to the defining creations of that decade.
On the industry side, Series Mania Forum has established itself as a global event, covering the entire series lifecycle, from creation to international distribution. With the Buyers Upfront, a new space is opening up for broadcasters and platforms, offering buyers worldwide privileged access to the most anticipated projects. At the same time, Lille Dialogues will bring together political figures and key decision-makers in the audiovisual industry to discuss the theme: “Post Peak TV: The Era of Challenges. AI, Funding, Audience…”
To complement its public festival and professional forum, Series Mania launched its training center, Series Mania Institute, in 2021. For the third consecutive year, young talents from the Tremplin program will see their series Maslow premiered, highlighting the wealth of emerging talent and the festival’s commitment to passing on industry expertise.
And because Series Mania is, above all, a collective adventure, we are further strengthening our regional presence this year with a new initiative: the Series Mania Bus Tour. Starting on February 21, our festival-branded bus will travel to 20 cities across Hauts-de-France, engaging with audiences and bringing series culture closer to everyone.
Series Mania 2025 promises an intense week, where series are discovered and discussed in all their dimensions. See you in Lille for a new edition!
