Gina NIERI

Born in Lucca on 2 December 1953, she has two daughters. After graduating in Political Sciences at the University of Pisa, she earned a Master’s degree, in Journalism and Mass Media at Luiss University in Rome. She has worked in commercial television since 1977, before joining the FININVEST GROUP in 1990. Currently at MEDIASET, she holds the position of Director of Institutional and Legal Affairs and Strategic Analysis. In April 2018 she has been appointed Director of Mediaset España Comunicación S.A.. In February 2020 she was confirmed as Member of the Board of Mediaset S.p.A.. In December 2021 she was appointed as Member of the Board and of the Executive Committee of MFE – MEDIASETFOREUROPE N.V. She is a regular contributor to working groups organised by the European Commission on matters concerning Protection of Minors, also on the Internet, Media Pluralism, Disinformation, Radio Spectrum Management, Copyright, Digital Markets and Services Regulation.
