While working at a video store in the 90s, teenager Hayley needs help figuring out what being a lesbian entails. She turns to the movies, but finding meaningful queer representations proves challenging. How is Hayley supposed to become the best lesbian she can be, when there are no role models for her on screen? With a little help from her friends, Hayley must find a way to be herself, embrace her sexuality and impress the girl of her dreams.
