Welcome into the closet of the funniest nanny of all times!
Fran Fine, played by Fran Drescher, would not have become as famous if it wasn’t for her iconic looks. Fran’s style in The Nanny, with all its prints and bright colors, is the result of a finely curated work. All her clothes translate the audacious temper and cheeky humor of our favorite nanny.
Thanks to Brenda Cooper, stylist and costume designer on the show, Fran Fine has become a fashion icon. Her looks, imagined and styled by Cooper, gives the character of Fran an endearing and quite out-of-the-ordinary personality. Her sense of fashion, as legendary as her laugh, is inextricably bound to the character. Fran is warm and funny, just as the show is: over the years, it has become the archetype of feel-good series, giving “such joie de vivre!” to all spectators.
More than the style of a character, Fran’s outfits have become the object of a cult for fashionistas. The show is an ode to 1990’s fashion, celebrating the talent and creativity of designers like Moschino or Todd Oldham.
You will hereby (re)discover outfits identical to those worn by actress Fran Drescher and styled by Brenda Cooper during the filming of The Nanny, along with exclusive photographs taken on set. This exhibit is organized in partnership with The Nanny’s Shmatte collective, Sony Pictures Television and Salto.
