When renowned scientist Dr. Rebecca Abrams (47) becomes the first woman to lead a prestigious research institute, she expects a career triumph—but instead steps into a web of betrayal. The seemingly perfect scientific community led by Dr. Kehlheimer (63) turns out to be a dangerous maelstrom of secret agendas. In this misogynous world with its arcane system of rights and privileges, Rebecca finds herself out of her depth in a power game whose rules she doesn’t understand.
