In this half-hour workplace comedy, we travel to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, viewing the Fortress of Louisbourg through the eyes of Louey Phillips, a Black woman who grew up in Cape Breton. Louey was raised as a third-generation reenactor of 18th-century French Colonialism. When we meet Louey, she has just completed her Masters in History and is offered a management job at the Fortress after a public relations disaster costs Louisbourg an important museum accreditation. What could be so hard about being the boss of your re-enacting parents and a staff that has known you since you loved NSYNC?
Louey quickly realizes she’s not the only manager running the show. Also hired was Priya “The Walking LinkedIn Profile” Kaur, who just moved from Toronto to manage the business side of fortress operations.
