SYNOPSIS

September 1943. The Nazis storm Rome and claim the Eternal City for the Third Reich. The deportation of all Jews is one of their first objectives. Romans need to make a crucial decision.  They  can  either bow down and wait for help to come…or they can stand up and fight the invaders. CCLXX tells the stories of the men and women who faced this dilemma, risking life and death, moral and family, for 270 tumultuous days. Stories that combine fear and hate, but also courage, solidarity, wisdom and determination.

AUTHOR(S) PROFILE AND STATEMENT OF INTENT

The project is being developed by Tommaso Renzoni, who has a very personal approach to the project as his grandfather was one of the resistance fighters in Rome. Ran Tellem is also involved in this writing process as his own father was a holocaust survivor. For this team, this project is a tribute to the people that because of their doings we are able to tell this story today. Last but not least, this is also a story of refugees. About people who are in despair and need.

GOALS AT THE EUROPEAN PROJECT AND TALENT FORUM
