An Israeli Hi-Tech entrepreneur is hijacked at De Gaulle airport and Inspector D is called to join forces with Abadi, from the Israeli intelligence, in the investigation. Oriana, a young officer joins them and conducts her own covert investigation in Israel. They try to discover whether the kidnapping is connected to the 8200 IDF cyber unit, where most Israeli Hi Tech entrepreneurs have started out. The long night is a roller-coaster of events involving gambling in Macao, illegal tap wiring, Chinese assassins, corrupt top level officials and one smart immigrant who tries to fool them all.
AUTHOR(S) PROFILE AND STATEMENT OF INTENT
Through the breathtaking plot, Israel’s international reputation as a start-up nation with invincible military Intelligence is put to a test and ridiculed. At the same time the famous French "comme il faut" is also tested and from the clash between the two springs out humor. The show is a unique cross between a thriller and a comedy with a strong female character in one of the main roles. It’s smart and fun and relevant and I’m looking forward to finding the right partner to develop it with.
GOALS AT THE EUROPEAN PROJECT AND TALENT FORUM
We are thrilled that Leora Kamenetzky, one of Israel’s top TV writers, has agreed to opt-in to write the TV adaptation. Leora would love to find a French co- writer to work with. As the book includes both French and Israeli story elements, our main aim is to find a French co-producer and ultimately a French channel that will want to co-develop and co- produce the series with us.
