OUR TAKE This new adaptation by Anna Winger (this time for NETFLIX), creator of Deutschland 83, of the memoirs of the American-German writer Deborah Feldman leads us into the little-known world of New York Orthodox Jews. We meet Esty, a young woman who understands she doesn’t belong in this community and leaves her family to seek adventure elsewhere, not yet knowing that she has been much more cut off from the world than she imagined
